Undercoating prep
What should I do to the bottom of my floorboard before I undercoat it?
I've done some work on it and its' bare steel in many places. The original part of the floor is already undercoated, so I was just going to undercoat the new patch panels too and make it all match under there. Do I just spray the undercoating over the bare steel? ...or etch prime, then coat? ...or etch prime, prime, then coat? ...or etch prime, prime, paint, and then coat? ...or what? |

Re: Undercoating prep
epoxy primer then coat. Etching is kind of a waste these days...it's expensive stuff.

Re: Undercoating prep
I just did this today. I had bare steel. I epoxied it in case i missed anything with the undercoat. Then i sprayed AL's liner on the bottom. When sprayed right it looks JUST like linex.... Awesome stuff.. I will tell you in 48 hours how well it holds up....
If you go to my build thread i will have some updates soon with pics.. I put it on my core support also... |
