i have a windshield that has a little V crack over the center base where the antenna wire plugs in,. I suppose that this means tha the glass is junk and that somoene was a little too rough or didnt know what they were doing when unplugging the antenna wire there ?

If the windshield is holding, don't worry too much. If you go to change the windshield it may come apart. If the antenna is messed up, try considering an outside antenna.(I think these are better anyway.)
