Post gauge help

My gas gauge won't read corectly. I have installed a new ground wire and tired other guages. I have also determined that the sending unit is not faulty. Could it be the printed circuit on the back that is messing the gauge? I have taken the dash pad off and the whole dash is covered with fine dust. Could this be the problem?

We took the unit out of the tank and moved it by hand and watched the guage. When it read 1/4 tank the unit was on empty and full was past full on the guage. I am cleaning the dash right now. Hopefully this will help.

I cleaned up the gauge cluster and that thing was terrible! I had a problem with the little green light for the right blinker always came on when the headlights were on, now it doesn't and I belive the gauge now works again.

When my truck did that the blinker thing, it was a failing light bulb, I think one of the marker ones that made it do that. I changed the marker bulb, and it made the blinker light stay off.

I experienced a similar thing with my 85 Blazer. Fuel gauge was all over the place. I replaced the sending unit($$)and checked the ground. Turned out it was the clips behind the gauge that make contact between the gauge posts and the printed circuit. It's right now. Boog.
