note self: If I run out of time and Greg gets bags, new completion date will be when he gets flames...
From what Dave says you are already flaming........

We painted my buddies 78 LB 4x charcoal grey and did the flames in different 4 different shades of candy apple. We also did an ElCamino in candy root beer with ghost flames in the basecoat. Both trucks looked great.

I personally think black is an awesome color - especially when you have lots of chrome on our trucks. BUT - You must enjoy washing your truck to have it painted black. It's a bi*ch to keep clean!!!! I maybe a little biased though... Bright red was a good color too. I agree on the silver as well. Metalic silver is great stuff.

My paint job is a few years away, as i have just started my project. I have always wanted something with flames but i think i am going to do a yellow fade to black front to back. Never seen it and thought it might look good

I prefer one solid colour and no side body moldings myself - nice and clean. I like simple modified "primary type" colours: white, black, red, blue, navy, yellow, and forest green.
Important thing to remember. Go with what you like. After all, your the one who has see and drive it everyday. |

Black: Looks the best but a pain to keep clean, look at it wrong and it will scratch dont even touch it during the summer.
White: Looks clean when dirty, stays cool in the summer, easy to touch up. Red: Most expensive color to paint, fades twice as fast and attracts johnny law like no other. Yellow: Has same charecteristics of white but lends itself to looking like a school bus or govt vehicle. Silver: Fades fast and hard to tough up but looks really good. Green: color of money. like this color too. Hugger Orange: no opinion here.

Chromalusion is easily one of the most expensive paints. Silver fades fast???? since when??? SIlver is one of the best low maintence colors out there along with pewter and champagne colors. Dirt doesent show. Black and Red....worst for Fading

Never seen one of our trucks painted this color. Despite the fact I like it on the Pathfinder, I don't think I would want my Chevy to be that color. Good luck getting pics. |

I do like that. It would look even better with a thin black stripe right below the color change. Its a nice dark color on top (thats not black) and a nice contrasting color on the bottom, very nice. A few ghost skulls in the paint and it would be sweet. The headlights look funny though, I like the rims.
Nice plate too!
