Re: need help installing tahoe seats

I installed the front seat from a '96 Silverado into my '85 K20. To do this, I had to remove the '96 mounts from the seats, and fabricate a frame to tie the 60/40 together. I then fitted it onto the '85 slide mechanism in the truck, marked it, and welded it into place. I did find that I needed to mount the seat farther back on the mechanism, with the back more upright, than I really wanted. I did this to provide the legroom and adjustability I want.
