I get a kick out of these RARE OPTION trucks

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...1%7C240%3A1318

Just found this on ebay. "This is an unbelievable truck and Has MANY RARE option." What rare options does it have? No radio, no AC, 6 cyl engine, 4 spd tranny. The only option that I really see is the tilt bed and that was probably dealer installed. I'm not trying to bash this truck as it looks to be a good looking, solid truck. I'm just saying that people need to represent these trucks for what they are. Don't try to dupe people by claiming RARE options that arent there.

I would love to have something like that. Gotta love those low mileage all original ones. Whenever I read motivated seller, I just want to buy so much more!

An interesting bit, the arm rests.... I'm thinking in 69 they were standard equipment... yet, that one has 67 arm rests on it.

Re: I get a kick out of these RARE OPTION trucks

good call.... tthe wood floor was an option. We are up to 3.
Sorry, if it isn't listed on the SPID with an RPO... it isn't an option. Otherwise I could just as easily say my CD player is an option... or I have a "tow package" on mine becouse of the class 4 hitch. He can't even prove if that is a GM authorized conversion, or after market conversion.

Re: I get a kick out of these RARE OPTION trucks

I didn't know you could get a 4 speed with a 6 cyl. I wish mine had that instead of the 3 on the tree. The truck in that auction could use a little tlc and some better pics and the guy should be able to easily sell it.

Re: I get a kick out of these RARE OPTION trucks

I see it all the time with people trying to sell bikes. Custom this and custom that and it's all production line parts. People even try to pass off Kury ISO grips as custom grips which are the most common aftermarket grips out there. Custom chrome which is all factory.
I just laugh.
