Cooling System Help!
Im planning on changing out the whole cooling system, on my 77 c10 350 auto air
My question is about the radiator. The radiator for air is like 250 dollars. The one for non ac is like 150 max. My air is broke and I dont plan on fixing it. Can I directly bolt in the radiator for a non ac truck, and will it fix ok ? |

raychevy,
Go to this web site. www.radiator.com You can buy a 350 replacement for $144.00. The only difference between and air and none air A/C is the core size. A 454 radiator will cost you $154.00 at the web site. I bought a four core radiator (locally) for a 454 to put in my truck for only $169.00. Even better is that the center core is made out of aluminum. Aluminum will cool better than a copper core. Use a three core radiator for your 350. A four core 454 radiator will work even better. Here is a pic of mine. ------------------ Gerardo 1983 Custom Truck TX Plates: "BAD BOW" http://www.geocities.com/abetterchemist/ [This message has been edited by gchemist (edited February 12, 2002).] [This message has been edited by gchemist (edited February 12, 2002).] [This message has been edited by gchemist (edited February 12, 2002).] |

raychevy, you should not have any problems but it all depends on where you live and the condition of your truck. A lean mixture or rich mixture can make it run hot. For better assurances I would add high flow water pump. I still suggest fitting the biggest radiator you can in your truck.
