Got a Problem

I bought some one ton springs off of a 87 chevrolet to install on my 69 K20. I attempted to put them in today but encountered a problem. The center pin on the new spring is forward 1 1/2" more than the original spring. The original springs are about that much longer too. The one springs are 56" and the originals are about 58", its hard to measure with the arch. Anyway has anyway had this problem or used these springs before, what can be done? I was thinking about using some zero rate add a leaves , which would allow the rearend to be moved back. Any thoughts?
