80w90 Gear Oil In Everything? (trans, x-case & diffs)

Just confirming before I fill everything that the same GL-5 rated 80w90 gear oil is what I should be using in the following:
  • Dana 44
  • GM 12 bolt
  • NP205
  • SM465
IF thats correct will 3 gallons get the job done from all units being completely empty?

Thanks, in advance!

Dan

pretty sure that gear oil is used in all... I have heard of people using ATF in the 205 but don't think that's stock...

so there's your answer, I THINK!

I used a quart of Lucas's oil stababilizer, the real THICK stuff, in my 465 on top of their 80/90, and it shifts real nice now. Nice for a 465, anyway

Thanks for confirmation!

On a related note....When filling the trans & transfer case does the same hold true (like w/the diffs) that they are full when the oil start seeping out the fill hole?...or is there a set amount?

Thanks again!
