control arm bushing question

Hey folks have a question:

i am doing a front disc conversion on my 65 GMC.... i have upper and lower control arms from an 87 Suburban. I bought polyurethane control arm bushings and had my buddy press out the old ones.. long story short the old metal sleeves were thrown away and they need to be reused w/ the poly bushings. Does anyone offer just the metal sleeves? I searched around and have not been able to locate a supplier. Any ideas?

thanks

Re: control arm bushing question

Someone else on the board here was looking for the same thing a while ago. Are you talking about the inner metal sleeves?

Re: control arm bushing question

I think you're going to be out of luck finding a "new" metal sleeve for this. You may just have to bite the bullet and buy some new bushings, or try and locate some used arms with bushing sleeves in decent shape.

Re: control arm bushing question

The Energy Suspension poly bushings include an anodized sleeve. The other company's bushings re-use the stock ones. Check out summitracing for pics/info...
