What are you looking to accomplish? What size wheel/tire are you trying to fit?

Here's one that's close. It belongs to forum member CoggedBelt75- Rears are Hoosier Pro-Street Radials 31x18.5R15L on Convo-Pro 15x14 with a 4 1/2" backspace on a 44" flange to flange 12 bolt rear end.

Re: narrowed rear-end for a 75 swb
Really don't think you would need to back half it, but if you do, would the added expense be worth less than an 1" in tread width? Here's a look under mine. It's a stock frame notched just above the 44" flange to flange axle housing with Ford ends, Moser axles, spool, 4.56, Koni coil overs, 4-linked, Wilwood disc kit, . With the 14.5" tread street tires I have 3" from sidewall to inside of wheelwell lip. My slicks for burnouts are Goodyear Eagle 33x16x15 mounted on steel wheels with 15x14 and 4 1/2" backspacing. They are 16.3" tread which is 1.8" wider on the tread but the sectional in not as wide as the radials so it is about 1/2" from the lip. There is a very slight scuff mark on the frame with the slicks. Hope this helps you and good luck with your project!!! Joe

Re: narrowed rear-end for a 75 swb
thats one sweet set up. i had heard that i could do a poor man's tub job by just swapping the spring hangers to the the inside of the frame rails and boxing it in. your set up looks a whole lot better, no more leaf springs. it doesn't seem like there would be any loss of frame integrity either. that was a big concern. well crap, off comes the bed again........lol. Coggedbelt75 and N2TRUX are my new hero's Thanks guys........................
