rod or cable

i have a 70gmc that has a throotle rod, now that im gettin a supercharger the rod wont work and im having to go to a cable, im gonna order a cable from lokar, my question is for those of you running cables, how long do you have? even if its n/a motor ill just add 12 inchs to that. any and all help will be appreciated. thanks.

I modded a 73-87 cable throttle set up to fit my truck, there is a how to thread on here somewhere & Im using a stock cable
