Help With Nitrous Kits for EFI/TBI 305

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok I have an 88 C1500 with a fairly new crate 305, it has 32,000 miles on it as of now, its pretty much stock, It has a K&N cold air intake kit, new exhaust from the manifolds back and sum other little stuff but nothing major. I am seriously thinking of buying a nitrous kit for it and am wondering what kit would work best or if I should even buy one at all..... A couple of kits I'm looking at are as followed:

ZEX Truck EFI Wet Nitrous Oxide System 82047 Kit with 55-125hp jets and activates using throttle position sensor.....(highest rated kit)

NOS 8 Cylinder Sniper WET EFI Nitrous 07006 Kit with 75-125hp jets and activates using micro switch near throttle linkage....(cheapest kit)

JEGS Barry Grant Adjustable TBI Nitrous Kit 87-95 with 50-125hp jets......

NOS 88-95 Nitrous Kit, Wet Shot Plate System For TBI Trucks 100-150 HP Adjustable - 4.3/5.0/5.7L......(most expensive kit)

All kits state they are for stock or slightly modified engines and require 92+ grade gasoline and a fuel pump meeting NEW specs..... I already run premium gas and have already replaced the fuel pump with a new one so I feel as though I could run any of these kits without any problems...... Please give me your opinions and feedback on the subject, Thanks

I'd run the bg kit that is from 50-125hp. I think that is plenty of spray for a stock motor.

I have been told the zex stuff is junk. A guy that works at the local speed shop said a zex bottle with his nos stuff slowed him down a tenth!

Re: Help With Nitrous Kits for EFI/TBI 305

Really? Jeez well thats no good... I did a lot of research today and found that a lot of people with kits on 88-95 trucks had the barry grant kit and a few with the nos sniper kit

Re: Help With Nitrous Kits for EFI/TBI 305

I have always been a nitrous express guy... Their support is great.. I have put two kits on differant trucks like yours and the guys lovedd them... I recomend no matter what kit you choose. Make sure you run a fuel pressure switch. Dont let it lean out or it will be game over If you add a rpm switch it is almost idiot proof........ almost..........

I met the guy who own NX when he was here for drag week. He was driving his duramax powered mustang and he was super cool.
