Re: Question on Brake Master Cylinder
The one with the large & small resorvoir is for the disc brakes that you have.

Re: Question on Brake Master Cylinder
X2 I think the other one you have is for a drum/drum application.

Re: Question on Brake Master Cylinder
Not 100% sure, but I think that is the difference between a Moraine and a Bendix power booster. I know that you could get either on my 72 Blazer, and the master cylinders are different for each. ( I too have one of each ). If you go to NAPA's web site and look up a master cylinder for you truck, I think it will ask the question which booster do you have. They have pictures on their site to help you identify which booster you have.

Re: Question on Brake Master Cylinder
If you have a Delco booster, your master cylinder should be the oval shaped one with both the same sized resevoirs.

Re: Question on Brake Master Cylinder
1971 Chevy with factory disc brakes. I just replaced this booster and the master cyclinder is one I replaced a few years ago. It is a direct replacement for the orignal one.

Re: Question on Brake Master Cylinder
Easy way to tell which type brakes you have is if the booster is black it is bendix, if gold/cadmium plated it is a delco- delco also has delco-moraine stamped into the case. Either m/c will work on either booster. My 71 has delco booster with bendix master, and 72 has delco /delco combo. If you have you original take it in- you will need it for a core anyway- and get the same configuration to go back with.
