Oil for oil bath air cleaner??
what oil do you put in these air filters? Not sure if I'll reuse. Seems like they run better with the paper insert vs. oil. comments suggestions? Can I put a paper element inside the oil bath cleaner?

Re: Oil for oil bath air cleaner??
just any motor oil will work.
not sure if there is a paper element conversion... but you could definatly gut the innards, and install one of those little paper ones, If you wanted to retain the look. Imo there is nothing wrong with a stock oil bath air cleaner, they used them for years on cars, I think they ended up being replaced because the paper is cheaper , lower profile, and less messy to deal with. |
