Exclamation Tell me what YOU think...

Just put my new AERO 52 series wheels on my 82, reusing my old 235/70/r15s...

what do you think i should do next? I debating whether or not to lower it some more...maybe like 3 more inches all around...right now it has one coil cut off of new springs up front, and homemade 2 inch shackles for the rear with the overload springs removed...i think it has a 2/4 or 2/3...

Summit Racing (same place i ordered my wheels from) has 3 inch drop spindles for about $282 a pair, maybe those plus a homemade flip kit for the rear..another question i have is since my wheels are 15's...will i still be able use a 3" drop spindle...or do i need to go with something else to lower it?

Re: Tell me what YOU think...

Thanks guys. I think im going to end up lowering it...but before i do that...i need to do a lot of research...especially if i might not be able to use these wheels with dropped spindles...

Before i drop it some more i really need to clean out the dual tanks and replace the sending units and all the fuel lines...it has a sputtering problem if i give it too much gas after 2nd gear...and, because the sending units have never been replaced...

Re: Tell me what YOU think...

Generally you will have to trim your lower control arm when you use three inch spindles with 15 inch wheels.

Re: Tell me what YOU think...

Lower it, get some lower profile tires, then have some pinstripe flames put on it in the same color is the wheel stripe...

Re: Tell me what YOU think...

I like it I would lower it more though and do something that matches the wheel stripe for sure

like he said GENERALLY with 3 inch drop spindles you need to trim the control arms... it doesnt matter what brand they are its hit or miss....

I say lower it a little bit more. 2.5 inch drop spindles you shouldnt have any problems

Re: Tell me what YOU think...

I have a 6/6 drop on my truck. 3" drop spindle and 3" drop spring from djm. If you want to come on by we can see if your rims will fit. To me thats the only way of knowing forsure, throw them on and see what happens.

Re: Tell me what YOU think...

First get it running the way you want it.Get that 383 mentioned in your sig in it,then worry about stance, looks yada yada.If that's out of the question, then I'd say tuck the tread and level it a bit.

Re: Tell me what YOU think...

Forget lowering for now, build a hot motor and do a SWB conversion with some duals exiting out in front of the rear wheels
