Best way to disconnect electrical on doors?
I plan to swap out my rusty doors on the 84 Siera I bought and was wondering the best (ok, easiest) way to disconnect all the wiring for the windows and locks? Is it best to disconnect from the door side or under the dash?
Any help is appreciated. thanks Scott

Re: Best way to disconnect electrical on doors?
When I swapped the doors on my 83 i un hooked the locks and windows and fed the wires through the doors. it worked real good like. that's how I would suggest doing it.

Yea feed them back from the doors is the easist way in the end or you could just cut them that just makes a lot of work in the end

Re: Best way to disconnect electrical on doors?
if they are like my 88 Siera, pull the rubber boot between the jam and the door (you want the Jam side) pull the wires out from inside the cab just a little and there will be a plug you can uplug from the harness, you dont even need to take off the door panels to do it
