Well, I've had to do this a number of times now, using copious amounts of adhesive to get the window stuck back onto the window track so I could roll it up and down. Like an idiot, and against better judgement, I tried to roll my window down when it was 4 degrees and icy. Pop. No rolling window.

Now that it's getting warmer, I need to re-stick it somehow. I've used a variety of glues and adhesives, all eventually wearing out. Is there a better way to get the window to stay in the track beside replacing it?

D Day. I have dealt with the problem your haveing many times and the product I found to be both effective and durable was 3M structural adhesive. I will say this though, everything and I mean that, has got to be very clean. If it isn't it will fail. The way I did it was to roll the window up and guide the track onto the glass so I could mark it for channel location, then remove the glass and the channel. With fine sandpaper clean the glass. Heat and scrape the channel then sand that. Reinstall the glass and tape it all the way up, install the channel and fill it with the epoxy and roll it up aligned to the marks you put on before you took it appart. Let sit 24 hours before use. jim

James are you talking about panel bond 3m #8115 good stuff and I'll second that suggestion

Nope, it's not panel bond. I believe the number is 8101 structural adhesive. If the area to be bonded is clean it just works the tits. jim

Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! God, Guts and Guns made America and God, Guts and Guns will preserve it! The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose.
