17 inch Boyds for sale (Texas)

I have a nearly new set of wheels and tires for sale . They are Coddington Smoothie 2's . 17x8 and 17x10 with 4.5" backspacing fron and rear . Tires are 275/60/17 Nexen rear and 255/55/17 Federal fronts . Still have nubs on the treads . I have put maybe 300 miles on them .If there is any real interest , I can get better pics if needed .I paid good money for them but should have bought 20's .

$1350

Re: 17 inch Boyds for sale (Texas)

Here are a couple pics taken wen I bolted them on the fisrt time , before it was lowered . They are hard to photo since they are so shiny . Just shows up as a glare . These are better pics . I am about 1 to 1 1/2 hours northwest of Houston . Bryan-College Station , Tx basically . These pics were taken when I put them on it on October 9th, 2008. That makes them 5 months old .

Bolt pattern is 5 on 5' . All GM truck half tons from 71 and up . I am sure they would fit any 5 on 5" pattern vehicle that had enough clearance . The only thing i had to do is install shorter grease caps on my 1 1/4 inch rotors since this truck has the heavy duty rotors . They were about 4 dollars at the parts house .

Re: 17 inch Boyds for sale (Texas)

The rears do not rub at all . I have the rear pretty low . If I tried to lower it more , it may rub on the outside but I am not sure . I have it lowered 5 inches in the rear . The rear backspace is 4.5 inches . These trucks (73-87) can go up to 5.5 inches of backspace without hitting the wheel tubs . I am not totally sure how much backspace a 67-72 will take . If someone knows , feel free to post . I posted them on the 67-72 because most people on the 73-87 site are into 20-22's . Here are a couple pics from the rear . I will have to get the pics of the tires up close . The last pic shows a pic of the rear tire . It was a little dirty in the pic since I had just driven back up the driveway after having the exhaust redone .

Man I wish I had a spare $1350 sitting around. Those would be bolted to my truck already.

WOW!

Very nice wheels and tires.

I really like the tread pattern of those tires.

If you still have these for sale when I get more $$ I will consider buying them.

Frank saw you coming down the road the other day by tractor supply and thought N2Trux was in town, That is a very nice truck and looked beautiful with those wheels on it rolling.

Re: 17 inch Boyds for sale (Texas)

I have the same wheels with the same backspacing and a 285 tire on the back. The tire is close to the bed on the inside (stepside) but more than enough clearance to not rub at all. I also have the narrower 67-70 rear end.

I love my wheels, this is a great buy at this price! TTT for ya!
