found this
So I ripped out all the interior today and while I was cleaning out 40 years worth of dirt I found this behind the gas tank. I think it is a radio delete plate. Am I right? My truck doesent have a radio so I snapeed it in place and it fit. Anyway I heard they are pretty hard to come by so I thought I would share my find.

Re: found this
What was on the back side? I found one in my 'burb and couldnt figure out how it was supposed to mount. I ended up drilling it and using buttonheads.

Re: found this
They have 2 clips on the back that snap into the 2 round holes.

Re: found this
The photo shows the front side of a 4-5-6 Chevy truck radio delete. They came with two friction clips on the back that caught the outside lip of the delete plate and had two sprung fingers on each clip that insert into the factory radio knob shaft holes in the dash, that held the delete plate in place. If you have one, don't drill it...find the correct clips or affix it with body trim mastic or some other method, so you don't damage the face, that way it will hold its value.

Re: found this
Mine's still stuck on the dash by the left clip. Can't figure out how to get it off, I'd like to keep it in the event that I remove it to put in a small radio to fit the original hole.
