Question 6 lug late model wheels?

I've read some vague bits of posts saying the offset is wrong on the late model GM ie 1990 steel wheels for older trucks.I have a set I want to run them on my 66 thats been converted to 73-87 5 lug discs. Before I buy 6 lug rotors Id like to know the real deal on these wheels I'm aware of the center hole being to small on the rear.I think I will address this by turning down the axle rather than hogging out the center.I have a set of 8 lugger steelies on my blazer and lovem so I hope I can run them on my 66. sorry to ramble.
Thanks Dave

Re: 6 lug late model wheels?

I think wrong is relative to whats up with the whole set-up. Im running aftermarket wheels w/ 5.25" of backspace, 6-lug, for the 88-98 3/4 ton trucks(maybe 4wd). They fit correctly for me.....disc conversion, too.
