You would assume, but so far it has not been an issue. To clarify that statement let me say that when this was originally done I had the stock 350 with a whopping 150hp when new. That was couple to a 3.08 rear, so tire spin was never a problem, hence no axle wrap.

Now that I have a Ramjet 350 installed it's a different story. With 350hp and 400tq along with the lower 1st gear in a 700r4 I do have the ability to spin the tires at will. I am not one to beat on it from a dead start, but I have hit it pretty hard from a rolling start.

The tires break free with no adverse affect, and spin again when it hits second. So far I have had no axle wrap/wheel hop issues.

I feel that if it were a problem, Cal Trac bars would be a simple bolt on answer.
