cubic inches
Hi guys, just got a 1966 gmc pickup that was given to me. It's a straight 6. Don't know the cubic inch size. Can anybody tell me how to tell?

General rule of thumb is 230 & 250's had the 'small side covers' & 292's had the large side covers w/the larger valve cover.

Re: cubic inches
Thanks Scott, that pretty much clears it up. I'll take the valve cover off then take the gasket down to local parts store. Thanks again.

Re: cubic inches
The 230's and 250's had the motor mounts straight across from each other. The 292 had the motor mounts slightly offset.

Re: cubic inches
If I recall the side covers on a 230/250 are around 4-inches tall and the 292 is closer to 6-inches.
