Newbie with a bunch of lowering questions
Ok Let start of by saying I have been rodding stuff for awhile and it all started 20 something years ago with a 65 C10 well now I found a 71 C10 and a set of 20's that need to be together but as with most here just slapping 20's under something ain't gonna cut it so I guess cutting it is something to start doing!!! Since you guys have done 1 or 2 of these I figure who better to ask?????
I need to thank Josh for getting everyone together and for the help.. I have learned a ton (both good & bad) just from reading about 100 posts and you'll see that in my questions truck is a 71 swb step side with 6 lug 5x5 350/350 All stock for now!! Goal would be to drag the sheet metal but would like to keep the front inners in if I can I'm not afraid of cutting the inners or moving the rear fenders if needed also a C notch is a nothing project for me,I also don't mind cutting the stock A arms but am looking for a true rat rod (read: cheap DD) this truck will end up being my nephews next year when he grads (gift) so I'm not going to dump a ton of my cash into it.......... 1) I can get the 2o's (5" back space) cheap so how lower can I go ?? I was going to cut the springs 1 loop in front and steal the springs from my neighbors Jeep to start but if I can go lower I'll just spend the $$$ and put the air in it ... SO thanx Guys and lets hear it!! as sos as I get the truck home I keep a project build post if I can figure out how to get that going Jeff |

It seems like alot are using the firestone 2600 bags does anyone have a pick of them in the front and rear so I can copy it if I go that route...I do know its better not to reinvent the wheel...just build around it..lol
