Post 348-409 help please...

My 409 (or maybe 348) is confusing me more each day. Can anyone help me tell if I have a 348 or 409? The suffix codes on the block end in TF, the block has an X on the front driverside, and the RH exhaust manifold is 3743306. Most of the signs just given would indicate a 348 (I think, not sure about the manifold though) but then I noticed the dipstick is on the passengerside which would indicate it's a 409, right? The engine came from a 1965 C-80. Any help is appreciated.

Checked out the engine today and the block casting is 3798962... I went to Bobs 409 Page and he has this series liseted both in the 348 and 409 categories, the 348's being different years than the 409. My engine is a 1965, are you sure I have the 220hp 348 still? Thanks for all the help.

Alright. Hey, have you had any experience with the truck motors or know how they hold up and what they're good for? Thanks again.
