Question Hi, I just bought a 1964 LWB step

Hi, I just bought a 1964 6 cyl LWB step for my son and I to re-do. He'll be 14 in a couple of months. Can anyone help with engine ID? The numbers next to the distributor are FORF0607DF. The smaller number beneath are C7171345. I did not find anything on the web. The parts guy says it is a 230.
Thanks

Re: Hi, I just bought a 1964 LWB step

Welcome from Idaho ..
I have a 64 short fleet that my daughter wants to use to drive to school this fall. We plan on putting disc brakes off a 71 donor I found on craigslist and swapping in auto trans for the 3-speed.
Your motor probably is the 230. Enjoy the time spent working together, Kids grow up to fast!! Bruce
