carb w/o break bost line? Help!
so, I found a carb on criags list. went out there and it looked really, really good. best one Ive seen so far. so I take it home, take off my old carb and notice that the "new" carb does not have the hole to screw in my break line! so, will it run with out that hooked on? what will happen if the brake line isn't hooked up? I do have a Rochester carb *just like the "new" carb, just newer in age* that has the throttle plate that has the brake line but I don't think the bushings are good. is it possible to drill/tap in the "new" carb to make it work? or a way to hook up some other line to make the power brakes work? Thank y'all! Matt

It will run fine without it hooked and you won't have power brakes.
You could probably swap your throttle body off your "older" carb to the one you bought and that will solve your problem No need to drill anything

Just hook it up to the intake manifold somewhere. it'll work just as good. I wouldn't drill into your new carb, or you may end up with brand new junk. They do make spacers with the hole in it.

wow very fast reply's guys, thanks! I will look into switching out the plates and looking for the spacer. the carb is from a early 70's. so I noticed it doesn't have as many vacuum ports on the plate. so I might have to cut out some of the non important stuff.
