rust/paint remover
i have a set of chrome steel wheels that have spray paint and surface rust (pitting)
how can i clean them with out hurting rim

Start with a product called Naval Jelly and coat them with it to remove the rust. The paint can be removed with lacquer thinner or carb cleaner.

You can go to any hardware store and ask for the Naval Jel. The chrome finish is a metal coating and these products will not hurt it.

I use gasoline to clean and brillow pad to clean the rust off and paint then I sand blast it makes it really nice
