Front shock mount problem. I know this has been discussed. . .
but I searched the forum and I'm still not sure what I need to do. My passenger side shock bolt is moving around in the frame. I've read that it can be welded, but I'm not a welder. Is this something most shops can handle or do I need to take it to an actual welder? If so, any recommendations in the Tulsa area? I also read about a mounting plate that could be used. Does anyone have experience with this plate? Any other possible fixes? Thanks for your input.

A majority of the time the upper mount just gets loose and you can simply tighten it back down snug.
But, if the mount has been run loose so long that it has wallowed out the hole in the frame, you will need to weld it. It's not a big deal at all. Any local muffler shop should be happy to run a MIG bead on it to keep it from moving again.

Thanks Tx. I hadn't even thought about taking it to a muffler shop. I'll give it a shot. I appreciate your input.
