1964 carry all on Ebay and Craigslist

Warning about this guy! I called this guy immediately after his listing and he gave me a price, He also told me it was a rust free Arizona truck with only minimal surface rust where the paint had faded. He then strung me along for two days before letting me look at the truck only then telling me that another guy out of state who had never seen the truck offered him more money than he was asking thus backing out of our agreement and wanting more money. Once I was able to inspect the truck I found that the truck has rust in rear quarter panel, not surface rust but the nasty kind, also the doors and fenders are showing bubbling rust holes. The truck was full of trash in the rear so I could not inspect the floors. And no one was there so I didn’t feel comfortable opening the truck. That’s right, he didn’t even have the guts to show it to me, just left it out on the street for me to look at. He also knew I was willing to pay him his asking price yesterday but decided to list it on E-bay after he told me I had 1st shot at the truck. So do business with him if you want but BEWARE. Here are the links to Craigslist and E-bay

Re: 1964 carry all on Ebay and Craigslist

It has been my experience that most people who are trying to sell their "rust bucket" non running 60-66 Chevy truck truely think they have a gold mine on their hands. They see a showroom condition restore for 30-50k and think "Surely my P.O.S. is worth at least 10% of that!" An old geezer down the road from me has a 1960 panel that hasn't ran for years and has pounds of bondo over rot and he still wants $900! I told him that was $800 more than I was willing to pay! Your best bet if money is an issue is to find a running version of the year model you are looking for that someone has started to properly restore. It will be on the market for one of two reasons: Either they ran out of funds to complete the project or just lost interest. That is the type of seller you can bargan with. A rusted out piece of crap will remain in Jimmy Joe Bob's front yard untill he gets what he and he alone thinks it's worth. Do like I did. Find it on Ebay and bid only what you think it's worth sight unseen. If it has a reserve price and no one hits it by the end of the auction, contact the seller and make an offer. The worst they can say is no. Remember...It's for sale because...THEY WANT TO SELL IT!

Never heard of an inline v6 before.
Must be pretty rare.
