lowering and drive shaft question

If i'm pulling a couple rear leafs on my 3/4 ton should i have to worry about any driveshaft issues? It's stock in the rear and roughly 2 to 3 lower in the front.

i've been told that when i lower the rear any i cause the drive shaft to bind at the u joints. I wouldn't think lowering it a few inches should cause any issues. Any input?

My only input from my experience is that you will want to keep an eye on the pinion angle change once its at the new lowered height. If there is too much angle (will be pointing down not level or up) you can get pinion angle shims to correct the problem. You can also measure the current angle with an pinion angle finder and just make sure its close to that when lowered (might not need shims)

My thoughts were also that there shouldn't be an issue with a small drop like this. I suppose i should pick up a pinion angle finder before i go doing anything. Personally, i like the rake. It's the Lady that doesn't like it. Then again, i haven't found a woman that ever did like a raked vehicle. Must be a dude thing, or a hill rod dude thing. I like it.
