Will Tall Valve covers fit on a stock 72 BB - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

In case anyones wondering i have a few threads going as I am researching parts (thanks to the board and its members) for some repairs / upgrades I am doing.

My question is will tall valve covers fit on my stock 72's Big Block? or will the brake booster or firewall be in the way. I was wondering if anyone has tried this.

I just looked at mine, and it looks like plenty of clearance as far as the booster/firewall is concerned. If you have factory A/C, on the passenger side, the bracket looks like it would hit tall valve covers.

your right, The truck is at a friends right now so I haven't looked at it in a week. I found a pic I posted of mine on another post and there it is. now I know to stay stock height.

I have these on my 70 with PB and they scrape a little going on but once on your good to go

Nice, Yeah looks like the A/C bracket is going to keep me from Talls.

Yes it will. I Bought my Longhorn with Moroso Talls installed. The prior owner had tossed the bracket out. I changed the covers out for originals and It took 7 years to finally find a bracket that someone would part with seperately here on the board. The valve covers are pretty and shinny, so I hung them on my garage wall until some needs them again. Good luck on your truck.
