Re: Dynamat- how much do I need?

I used RAAMmat and have ben very happy with it. I used 1 62 sq ft roll and covered most everything I wanted to.
Check them out here- http://www.raamaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi

B Quiet sound Deadner and Heat protector.

ebay B Quiet-where I purchased from...

I purchased 100 sq feet of B Quiet Ultimate for $239 with free shipping from the above ebay seller w/o any issues. This also came with a free roller which is a $25 value. The B Quiet specs are very close to Dynamat. JFYI.

Re: Dynamat- how much do I need?

I spent about $15,000 on a "bulk pack" of Dynamat and a roller. I don't remember how many suare feet it was, but I did the floors, most of the back of the cab and one door. The truck is very quiet now and the floorboards don't feel like they're melting under my feet anymore.

Re: Dynamat- how much do I need?

There seems to be so many companies out there that claim they do the same as Dynamat. The price for this stuff is outrageous, so I'm up for an alternative if it works the same. I do believe "you get what you pay for" but I'm not into overpaying for a product that doesn't perform.

You make a good point crasten123 but there comes a time that you are paying for name recognition such as in medicine. For example...I take allergy medicine and if you look into the ingredients most have Loratadine or you can by the allergy medicine named Loratadine. This is much less money.

I looked into the specs of B Quiet verses Dynamat...and to me the much higher price of Dynamat was not worth it. Also some materials are sound deadners but not heat blockers so be sure what ever brand one gets...make sure it blocks sound and heat. JMHO.

Re: Dynamat- how much do I need?

Check amazon for dynamat as well they have a bulk pack that blocks heat and sound for a reasonable price at least in my opinion. It is the cheapest I have found it. The specific type I think is dynamat extreme. Here is the link

Amazon.com: dynamat extreme bulk pack Amazon.com: dynamat extreme bulk pack
