School's out, now back to the truck...

I havent got to work on my truck for what it seems like forever, but today I started doing some more sheet metal work. I plan on eventually swapping in a 5.3 vortec so I plan on using a gas tank under the bed. So today I filled the gas tank hole in the side of the cab. I want to begin filling the holes in the firewall but Im not sure which ones I am going to need, "i havent done this before". So Im thinking that im not going to use the original heater but when i find a motor donor truck id like to retrofit all of its heater and a/c into mine. Could any of you guys that have smoothed your firewalls post pics and let me know what you did for hoses or wires that would have gone through the original holes. Thanks

I had that same little dent under my filler hole to, came from prying off the locking cap when I lost the keys rafting and had to hot wire it to get back to town needed gas,

Here is my fire wall. I filled everything except for the battery box and ground hole, gas pedel rod hole and hood hinge holes. My AC and water lines will come out between the battery box and hood hinge. Wiring for front lights will be inside the fender routed from the dash. Engine wiring will be ran low and up the engine from below. Speedo cable is snaking up inside of the firewall. Stock throttle linkage is used.

I think when you look at a late model a/c heat unit that you will see that you don't have enough room to do that, BUT if you get it in there be sure and post pix. If your going to leave your battery under the hood, besure and don't weld up the studed holes and the hindge holes. Other than that weld them all up and cut what you need where you need later.
