2wd cab to 4x4 chassis swap question
I have a 2wd cab that I bought for my 86 K10. I've done many cab swaps in the past, but they were all 4x4 to 4x4. Do I need anything else besides a bolt in high hump center to pull this off? Anybody else done this before, and what problems did you run into? ...Joe

Re: 2wd cab to 4x4 chassis swap question
As long as your 2wd cab is newer the 81 you shouldn't have any problems. The high hump is the only think that matters when it comes to the 4x4. The cabs will otherwise bolt right up to the truck without a problem. I am in the process of the finishing details on my truck and it is a 77 4x4 with an 83 2wd cab.
Good luck with the swap.

Re: 2wd cab to 4x4 chassis swap question
The original cab on my truck is an 86, and so is the replacement. I think I may have found a high hump center section. So....all I need to do is set the new hump in place and mark around it where to cut the floor and drill the holes and that's all there is to converting the cab right? ...Joe
