Need help (78 C10 Steering Column)
While trying to get everything ready for the new engine I thought I would fix the front end too. I noticed that the steering coupler was shot, then I saw the steer bar was also busted (the bar between the gearbox and the column).
Does anyone know of a vendor who has this item? Last edited by old Rusty C10; 05-19-2009 at 10:18 AM. |

You could try your local scrap yards or a catalogue company

LMC has them, but they are really high priced ($300). It's called a lower steering shaft assembly.

Re: Need help (78 C10 Steering Column)
Thanks guys, but I think I have one hooked up. An old buddy still runs a junk yard and said he has a few of these trucks. I'm going to go look and see what he has. He said 25 bucks and a beer. Hopfully I'll be able to score some interrior parts too.
