Re: Need Opinons!
The interior will be painted silver with black leather seats and door panels. If I go with the wood I have a matching glove box door and would do some wooden door handle/armrest to match.

Re: Need Opinons!
Ive never been a fan of the wood look in most cars and trucks so I like the more stock looking one myself. But I will say the craftsman ship on the wood ones is very nice. Did you make those?

Re: Need Opinons!
No I didn't make them, one of my cousins got them with a truck he bought for parts and gave them to me. I sanded and put a couple of coats of poly on them. They apear to have been done on a CNC or something, at first I thought the rings and outer raised part were glued on, but they are not, it's all one piece. The glove box door bow tie is cut out with a darker wood glued in. Someone put a lot of time and thought into them.

Re: Need Opinons!
I like the original, but the wood would cool if you made a console to match.

Re: Need Opinons!
I'm a fan of the original dash, but as mentioned above, the craftmanship of is amazing on the wood panels.

Re: Need Opinons!
You could run with that wood. If you have a wood bed or are planning on having a wood bed, stain the wood you are gonna do in the interior with the same stain as the bed. That would look good. Just my opinion.

Re: Need Opinons!
I would go billet aluminum with those gauges.. the wood could be cooler if it had something in the middle and the chevy bowtie wasn't backwards!

Re: Need Opinons!
With those guages the original looks better IMHO. The wood is neat and that is fantastic craftsmanship, no doubt about that, but I don't think it would look the best.

Re: Need Opinons!
That was the first thing I noticed, but I read carefully through all of the responses before commenting. I can't stand it when someone comes in and makes a comment (that is already there) and acts like they were the only one to see it or have that opinion.

Re: Need Opinons!
The wood ones are nice but the question would be is this a DD or a weekend cruiser. I could see the sun doing major damage to the wood ones if it was in the sun too much. I would be afraid of cracking or warping

Re: Need Opinons!
I like the wood. However the backwards bowtie should be a little bigger as well.

Re: Need Opinons!
i apreciate the craftmanship of those wood parts but to make it fit the interiour you prolly need to have more parts made like wat they said a center consolle facia (you can use leather on the sides) and a strip above the doorpanels under the windows .
the colour would look great with cream or brown/redish leather but i agree it needs to be a little darker for the black leather you using , it would pop too mush
