HELP.. Intake Manifold Install..HELP - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hi guys I been racking my brain trying to figure out my problem and decide to try to use the wise people here so please if you can help ide be in your debt.

The problem:
I have a Edelbrock RPM Air Gap Intake manifold And a holley 670 Street Avenger Carb.
The Intake manifold only has #1 Manifold Vacuum Port and its located under the back of the carb with minimal space.

Heres a pic.

Now the problem is I can get a fitting that is low profile enough to fit but it is only One Port but im told it needs to be a T for both the brake booster vacuum from the power brakes and the transmition line.

However all the info I have looked at says its bad to T anything with the power brakes.

Any Ideas?
Any pics of how all the stuff I need to connect works , like Tranny line from TH350 , Brake vacuum and any others?
Any help would be a life saver at this point Im Just waiting to get this sorted for a fire up situation.

I'm not familiar with your carb, but dont most carbs have the big vacuum port on the back for the brake booster?

Yes it does have one at the back and one at the front but the person I asked for advice and is a seasoned chevy engine builder for some reason said those arent it?
Im not saying you or he is wrong as I dont know Im just confused and hope some one with knowledge of this setup has maybe a pic or diagam they can post that might let me cheat and see how its done, or some words to lead to getting my carb and vacuum lines hooked up.

I cant wait to fire it up..lol

Why would it be bad to use T? That is exactly what the factory used for umpteen years.

I have the same carb as you and I went to the holley web site to figure out the vac lines. There are 4 vac ports on the carb and the site says that the large port on the side of carb (near the secondary diaphram) is for power brakes, the small vac port on the upper part of the primary metering block is for the distributor, the large port on the front under the primary float bowl is for pvc, and the small port right next to this is for any other vac accesory you may have (I used it for a vac guage in the dash). so I just plugged the port in my manifold and used the ports on the carb. forgot to mention that your trans line would mount to the accesory port that I used for my vac guage. hope this helps you out!

Very much so thank you very much , its kinda what i thought but i figured others knew more than me said no so i better find out.

Incidently mine doesnt have the port next to secondary on the side mines in the back but im sure its funtion is the same.
Not sure why its diferent than all the pics i but it is lol
