pull a part trip,

I made a trip to the pull a part today for a few more pieces for the truck. I got a perfect fit radiator from a van with a 4.3 v6 so it should be enough to cool my truck. It has the plastic sides and i know it isnt The best choice for the truck but it was $28 and my 88 blazer has the same kind and hasnt given me any trouble. I also got the Heater delete plates i needed . I went to pay for it and the lady asked what they were i tried to describe what they were for , she replied "well i dont see those on the list so they are free "

They actually had 3 of our trucks on the lot, one said it was a 65 but clearly had the wrap around windshield.

Re: pull a part trip,

the usual rot around the lights and along the front edge. I have seen better but it could probably be patched up. I couldnt figure out how to post pictures from my phone , i was going to post the pics and see if anybody needed me to grab something while i was there. the trucks had pretty good looking dashes in them.

a hood is $35.66 from there, and you can but the whole cab for like $150. They are at the nashville pull apart.

Re: pull a part trip,

I've been running the same 4.3 radiator in my 60 w/a 305 V8 for 15yrs now. Never overheats but I run a V8 radiator shroud (because its shorter) and a clutch fan.

Thanks Revin , thats good to hear. I think i am going to run a dual electric setup , i want to keep it all as clutter free under the hood as i can.

How did the inner fender skirts look? The front of mine are rusted clean through, so anything would be an improvement.

Re: pull a part trip,

all 4 of the innerfenders looked the same, rusted out where they bolt to the core support. Mine are the same way , I am about to cut the rot out and weld in some new steel.

Hey MTPockets,

I can't tell by the pictures, but did they still have their transmissions?

Re: pull a part trip,

I am not sure about the tranny, but the only one with a engine was the Burb, well what sleft of it. but even if it had a trans i am betting its not what you want since there is a BIG pontiac motor in it. the mounts were moved foward and the valve covers were still touching the firewall.
