blazer conversion

well i have a chance to get a 87 4x4 blazer but the running gear is shot and their is no engine and trans so i was wondering what all is involved in converting to a 2wheel drive i have a complete 2by parts truck and i figured everything will bolt into place but was just wondering if their is anything that i do not know about or if the frames are same width and everything and rear leaf springs are the same and the rearends are the same width...anything will help thanks bryce
