A little update on the '63...
Here's a couple of pics from a month or so ago at my buddy's place out in the sticks...
And now today. It's all back to one color. I took it all down to bare metal and primed it one panel at a time. I'm starting body filler now. The doors and front fenders will need typical patching. The rest is in very good shape and will just need some filler in a few dings. So far so good. I'd like to go a little lower though. I hope to be painting it by the end of summer. Plans are for satin black and green flaked roof. Then on to the interior. Plans there are for green flaked naugahyde on the seat and a Moon green flaked steering wheel and to freshen up the two tone black and white paint inside. Add some skinny white walls and call it done.

I love your truck! ( I know- I've already said that).
Great seeing some progress! Are you gonna put letters in the grille? Maybe with green flake accents?

Re: A little update on the '63...
I'm still trying to decide what to do under the grill. I'll either do chrome bullets, a chrome grill bar from another car, or cut off the bracket and leave it open.

Re: A little update on the '63...
So far, I've got filler done on the hood, tailgate, and bed. Just the front fenders and doors left to do. The doors will need patches though. Hopefully I'll still be getting a good set of fenders (no holes) from a buddy. Besides the doors, it's just a few minor dings. So, not a whole lot left to do before paint.
Thanks everybody for the kind words.

Re: A little update on the '63...
Thanks guys.
I got a quote on fixing the doors today. I buy the patch panels and he'll fix the bottoms (inside and out), fill the trim and mirror holes, and pop out some dents with his stud gun for $150 per door. That doesn't sound too bad. I still may get a used welder and try it myself first.

Re: A little update on the '63...
Thanks. I'm leaving the black wheels. No trum rings or hub caps. But I will eventually get some skinny whitewalls (1" radials).
