orange with saddle interior
Anyone have any pics of this combo or has anyone ever saw it? How did it look? I have a lot of saddle interior parts and want to paint my truck orange, want to use what I have just don't know how it would look.
It's for my 71, not the 50th. Last edited by c10_1971; 06-26-2009 at 11:41 PM. |

Re: orange with saddle interior
Hey- Do you really have a factory SWB 50th? I think some of the guys on here would be interested in seeing it. Oh yeah, orange and saddle would look funky- in a bad way!

Re: orange with saddle interior
Yes I have a factory short 50th with air and some other good parts, it is in primer now and will see about posting some pics of it later. The orange I was going to use on the 71 is the Hot Rod Flatz hugger orange and am considering using the saddle stuff because I have so much of it.

The saddle and orange would look real good together. If you have it, use it.

Re: orange with saddle interior
I never seen orange with saddle, but in1971 my father bought A new Cheyenne short bed, it had no options, A V8 three on the tree, and it was Hugger orange with a blue interior. Many years later I asked him why that truck? His reply was.... "because I liked the colors.

Re: orange with saddle interior
I've seen Hugger Orange with an Oxblood(maroon) interior.Factory it was on the SPID.I would suggest against that. However I think saddle would be good but a darker brown would be even better.

Re: orange with saddle interior
My 68 is orange with maroon interior and at first I didn't care for it but I think it is growing on me. I think orange and saddle looks pretty good myself.

Re: orange with saddle interior
Hugger and blue.Sounds like Howard Johnson`s colors or Gulf Oil.They`d let you do anything back then.(and then laugh about it at happy hour.

Re: orange with saddle interior
I like it on your truck. Have you seen the truck that Stacey David(?) built on the show gearz? It's I think a 68 called project copper head. It's a PPG copper metallic paint with the tan interior. I LOVE that color combo.
