Do tilt and non tilt 69-72 trucks have the same intermediate shaft?

cheyenne10 I personally have no idea has never seen a truck tilt in person...can anyone answer his Q?
Here are a pic of mine. The lower shaft from the joint I am pointing to on down is stock from the original column. I colapsed the van tilt by just smacking the end on the ground, then installed with not too much hassle.

The shaft is colapsable in case of a head on accident. The rod is 2 pieces held together with plastic inserts. Since the column is a tad too long, you have to colapse it a hair for it to fit in there.

i was wondering why those pins were plastic, when you collapse it do you drill new holes and put the plastic pins back in?

I have good tight intermediate shafts for 20.00. If you heat the shaft at the pins the pins will squirt out and you can collapse it to the needed length then drill new holes and put soft roll pin in it if you want to. I have never put a roll pin in one because there is no slop after collapsing it as the shaft is farther up in it than on stock 69-72 trucks.
