Re: Hey did ya'll notice that new greenish lookin guy here?

Its in the plans for future. Have had a 77 dually, 78 lwb, 67 lwb, 69 swb, 70 burb, 88 lwb, 94 dually, 96 2500 in the past. Currently we have a 69lwb, 67 panel,86 jimmy, 99 dually, 06 1500 and 03 yukon. Add in the two camaros and cutlass and well.. we kinda ran outa room for a bit.

Once we get a bit more land, we will get one or three

So what do ya'll think about this area (60-66)? Anything you have to suggest or such?

I think this is the best part of the board. The best of the best run here. But half naked girls posed with our trucks would be cool to. Seriously though. It does rock and helps keep ya sain.

Hmmm, I thought we are doing pretty well over here....Seems like we have new members everyday.

I'm sure the guys over here will come up with something.

Didn't know that 'Chiefy' needed a hand over here...

1960-66 are the coolest on the board. The rest are scrambling trying to catch up. How can you improve on perfection?

You are doing great over here silly. As areas grow so do the wants and needs of the members.

My above post (in jest) shows how busy this area has become. And that in itself says a whole lot.

I think we should look into a few stickies,
the most common questions I see deal with how to modernize the front suspension, we used to have a sticky for that, the vin # location and vin deciphering questions.

Stickies for some of that would be good, but still it comes down to people needing to figure out the Search feature too. Not really much you can do there but keep informing. But all in all, no complaints from this boy.

Re: Hey did ya'll notice that new greenish lookin guy here?

I have to say the 60-66 group is my favorite. Have you noticed how we can use parts from newer trucks for ours. I dont see alot of 67-72 guys upgrading their trucks with our parts. Heres a silly idea. How about we post pics of our faces and trucks and have one of the photoshop guru's create a poster blend of all of us. I would like a panel/burb section added. Sometimes I feel I'm the only one with a panel Regardless of my pitty party this place is the bomb.

Re: Hey did ya'll notice that new greenish lookin guy here?

Why not do a FAQ post for threads. That could be a sticky. If you guys start a post on 60-66 FAQ with links to information. Then we can organize it and have it as a 60-66 info area.

Have ya'll swung by the site FAQ area recently? Its undergoing a major re-haul. Albatrossian has been working with Krue to organize the posts that we have. From there we will go forward with making it user friendly.

The suspension team is working on creating a FAQ for that area as well. The 67 blazer guys have a FAQ type index stickied over there. Its doable, we just need the folks over here to help gather links to FAQ like posts to get the ball rolling.

I also agree with search, issue is search flat out sucks petrified donkey hooves. It works at times, then does not. Hopefully after the server upgrade, we can reindex it (pita major) and get better results.

Re: Hey did ya'll notice that new greenish lookin guy here?

Liz, I did think of something. I get on these little kicks of doing rep points every now and then. If I remember right I can only do 5 in 24 hours. I might go 2 weeks before I do it again. I try to spread it out, but easily get side tracked and forget. Can anything be done to help out here. I guess it is limited due to the possible abuse. Maybe bump it to 10 in 48 hrs. Just wandering.

BTW thanks for everything.

Re: Hey did ya'll notice that new greenish lookin guy here?

A faq section would be perfect, there are quite a few good tech threads out there that tend to get lost after awhile...
chief has a good one about splitting the brake lines, corts 60 has a good one for hopping up the V6, ect...
maybe we should start a "fishing" thread to see what ones people remember, or found helpful, and would want saved to a faq thread.

I remember the h.a.m.b. had something like that once, then they took all the best tech threads, and cleaned them up to remove the random coments, then closed them , and kept them in one spot.

Re: Hey did ya'll notice that new greenish lookin guy here?

Chief started one this afternoon in this section for you all

as for the rep... i hate it for those who use it right, but its a joke. I have to view rep quarterly for bad rep abuse stuff... and the reasons for rep being given are.. well a joke. "cause I can" " just wanted to say hi" etc,
We have actually discussed removing it fully again due to it all.
