The "R" terminal is for engines with points type dizzys it delivers full battery voltage to the coil only while cranking the engine. it wont prevent the starter from engaging if not hooked up and not needed at all with HEI.

Hello All,
Just wanted to thank you all for your assistance,informationand patience re: the starter.. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! got it to crank over.. I gave up on it for a few days and allowed my frustration to calm, Now it has started and ready to work on the next problem,LOL. I love this site, thanks again!!! |
