Tire Question
I was looking at my tires the other day and was wondering. Was there a specific brand of tire used for these trucks when they came out?

Re: Tire Question
I'm pretty sure GM used several companies on new vehicles, mostly Firestone and Goodyear. And it was just luck of the draw which you got on your new truck.

Re: Tire Question
I haven't found any documentation regarding these tire brands on these trucks, but it was typical for GM (and probably other manufacturers) to install "delivery" tires when the vehicles where new. By that I mean they were the cheapest tires they could get just to get the vehicle delivered. My mom bought a new Buick Skylark in 1964 and the 2 ply tubeless US Royal tires that came on it didn't even last 2500 miles.
