Tallest tires on a stock C30?
I have a stock height 1979 C30 with 4.56 gears in the rear end. Trying to tame those gears a little bit, I think bigger tires would be nice. What is the biggest tire I can put on a stock, unlifted truck? Right now I think it has 31"...

Remington makes a 255/85/16 and it is about 33 inches tall . Nice tire if you are running stock wheels and want a nice tire to tame that gear .

33s will fit fine. If you don't mind the woodchuck look, 39s will probly fit too!!!! lol
Buddy has 265/75s on his 3/4 ton 2 wheeler.

Alright, what I got now is 235/85R16 which works out to 31.7". Do you think switching to 33s would really make much difference in how the gearing feels? I could always swap over to 4.11s too, but I already need new tires...
It's hard to tell since I don't have a tach, but as it is now I think about 65mph is my top speed in 4th, LOL. I wanted a work truck but not a semi truck!
