Re: pics of late model aluminum wheels on your LB
Wont fit, center bore too small. I tried late model 6 lug alloys and did not work. Aftermarket ones with the larger center bore should work. Toyota 6 lugs usually work, too.

more like machining the hub hole to fit.

Re: pics of late model aluminum wheels on your LB
I actually tried to use a hand file like an idiot and it took me weeks to do one wheel. I gave up and sold them. Only a machine shop can really enlarge the bore hole properly and quickly and that will not be cheap.

I have seen it done but don't have any of the pictures saved. Small spacers can alleviate the hub issue.

Re: pics of late model aluminum wheels on your LB
Mostly the backspacing is off so you won't ever end up with one with a decent lip on it.

Re: pics of late model aluminum wheels on your LB
Pretty much all late model wheels are a higher offset....which means you will have less lip front and rear. For example, many run the Torque thrust 2's with 8.5/10 combos and 5-5.5 backspacing front and rear. I have a set of rims off a late model and their backspacing is 6/6.5 The rim will be sucked in more which actually won't be too bad for bags....I just personally like a nice lip on the rims so I am thinking of having them re-hooped with a better offset for my truck.

Re: pics of late model aluminum wheels on your LB
thanx now I get it???
I saw a newer chevy with what looked like about a 18" wheel it had a good line that I thought would look good on my truck ..plus it seems like a wide 18 or 20 is easier to find than a 15" tall and wide tire..I need to keep my tire height in the 29" area so I don't have issues with my fenders and heater box..the monthly swap is coming up next weekend so I want to keep ruler in hand and rubber band on my wallet...it doesn't help I had a tire go pop last week so I'm running on a junk spare unti I can find a set of tires that I like |

Re: pics of late model aluminum wheels on your LB
Late model oem wheels will look bad due to improper offset. Aftermarket is better but you may then have a host of other fitment issues such as the wheel not seating all the way against the hub, hub interfering with wheel center cap, valve stem hitting caliper, etc. Do a search on here, lots of guys having trouble with aftermarket wheels like the Coys, etc.

Here's one set that I know did fit. I'm more of a deep dish kind of guy but thought I'd show you the one I knew worked
