Changed cluster and now speedo not working... Help...
Hey guys I just replaced my gauge cluster with a tach version and everything works except the speedometer. The cable setup seems idiot simple and worked with my old cluster. Are the cables touchy? I figured it would spin into place even if it didn't seat initially.
Anyone else have this trouble? Thanks, Tony

it is possible that the ends of the cable are worn or the speedometer fitting. I would check those items as well as trying to spin the cable by hand to make sure it is engaged down below.

Re: Changed cluster and now speedo not working... Help...
It was a pretty new cluster. I don't have any proof it was working before I got it, but it's really clean. I think I'll pull the cable and hook it up to the other speedo and test without removing the cluster. If it works, I'll know its not the cable. I can always pull the cluster and put in the old speedo, but it was more of a pain than I thought. Mostly because the PO stripped the oil fitting ferrel and I had to pull the oil line at the engine and get the cluster out before I could get a vice grip on the ferrel... It'll be a lot easier the next time.

Re: Changed cluster and now speedo not working... Help...
It's working. Not sure, but I guess it was just finicky... After taking it off and putting it on about a dozen times, it just started working. Who knows..? Anyway, it's cool to have a tach dash instead of an aftermarket tach sitting on the column...
Thanks to all, Tony
