I was reading that if you run a wishbone three link you need to run some kind of side to side axle locating device, ie watts link, panhard bar ect. Is this true? Help!!!!

A 3 link is 2 trailing arms and some type of bar limiting side to side travel. This would be either a panhard bar, wishbone link or watts link.

dude if I'm not mistaken a 3 link would be 2 bars on the bottom, and one on top to stop the roll???? but I think that the more common 4 link requires a panard bar or watts link UNLESS you run the top 2 from the frame to the center on an angle like you see in camaros then NO bar or link is required
Oh but then there is always Hair pins which have one mounting point for the top and bottom and then a bar or link is required...like the old latter bars system whick is very simular to what we are running on our trucks stock are we confused yet

So a wishbone is a 3 link, or is it a four link, hmmmmm....

On a wishbone three link no watts link or panhard is need to stop side movement as the wishbone does that. On a parrallel four link one of those two is needed, and a triangulated four link doent need either of those either. here is a pic of a three link with a wishbone upper link....(it on my dodge p/u)
 The wishbone can face either this way or narrow up front to wider at the axle depending on space. Justin

a wishbone is a 3 link no matter which end has the 2 bushings and which end has the single bushing.
a watts is only needed on a parallel 4 link, 2 link, some 3 links and some triangulated 4 links |
